Discuss the living-space goal
We learn who will use the space, what rooms it needs, and which daily activities the layout must support.
We plan added living space around your household’s needs. Our team connects design choices, room layout, construction, and finishing details.
A planned ADU gives your household a separate area for guests, family, or private living.
A purpose-built layout can place storage, flooring, lighting, and finish materials where daily use requires them.
Coordinated remodeling keeps design choices connected to the construction and finishing work.

ADU construction creates a planned living area for a specific use. The work may include room layout, additions, structural improvements, custom carpentry, flooring, interior updates, and finish selections. The intended use guides each decision. A guest space may need privacy and storage, while family living may call for a different kitchen, bath, or room arrangement. We discuss these needs before the construction plan takes shape. Our team coordinates design, construction, installation, and finishing work through one process. We also explain the work covered by the estimate, so you can make informed choices before construction begins.

Best remodel experience we have ever had. The oversight, careful workmanship and ownership of the project was above expectations. Our design team was amazing. We also had the same person do all the work start to finish and was a total Pro. Could not recommend enough and will be doing any and all projects through them. This place is a gem.
Linda and her team did an excellent job! We would highly recommend them. We hired her for a kitchen remodel and asked for a very tight timeline. She delivered and we absolutely love the result. She was very commutative and available to us. Thank you Design and Build NW!
Overall I enjoyed working with Linda and her team. Even though there were no major redesign of spaces and I knew exactly what tile/fixtures/cabinets etc I wanted I still was appreciative of her insight on certain details and choices. It was very easy to collaborate with her. She makes an effort to be in-tune with a client. She was very responsive and took care of everything that needed attention as soon as she was able too. She made sure that I was listened to and taken care of as a client with her subcontractors. I would work with her again.

A household may need private living space for a family member while keeping the main home comfortable. The plan should account for room access, storage, daily routines, and the level of separation you want. We start with the intended use, then discuss layout and construction needs before preparing a free estimate.
An underused part of a property may offer room for a more useful living area, but its layout and utility needs still matter. We look at how the space could support rooms, flooring, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Bring your ideas to the consultation so we can define the work clearly.
Some homeowners want a separate area for guests that feels comfortable without changing the main household routine. The project needs a thoughtful room plan, suitable finishes, storage, and clear access. We discuss those choices first, then connect the design with the construction and final details.
